We were lucky to see a sky full of green curtains moving slowly across the sky in a ghostly manner, generally from east to west. We observed a corona as the curtains passed overhead. Sometimes the aurora looked like billowing green and pinkish smoke when it was directly overhead. Some members of our group reported hearing a buzzing sound. We were treated to a nice display every night that the skies were clear.
This photo shows stars in the background, in the constellation Cassiopeia. This shot was taken with a Nikon F2 camera and an 28mm lens using Kodak Royal Gold 400 speed 35mm film.
