The StarMaster 14.5-inch telescope has a 1.6-inch thick Pyrex mirror supplied by Zambuto Optical Company. The focal ratio is f4.3. Starmaster was the first to successfully incorporate a fully computerized go-to system into its Dobsonian mounts. This scope includes the Sky Tracker go-to-then-track drive system with the Sky Commander digital setting circles. The upper cage is assembled as a separate unit with the eight truss poles, and can be removed from the mirror box by simply removing four thumb knobs. This convenience makes setup and tear-down relatively quick; and the telescope can be easily moved outside and set up for an obesrving session.
