Galaxy Field in Virgo

The above image shows several galaxies in Virgo, including M89, M90, and M58. All three galaxies were included in the Messier catalog. The image below is annotated to identify the galaxies. In addition to M89, M90, and M58, this image also shows NGC 4550, NGC 4551, NGC 4531, and IC 3583. All of these galaxies are part of the Virgo Galaxy Cluster.

This is an LRGB composite CCD image. An STL-11000M CCD was used at prime focus on a Takahashi FCT-150 refractor at f7. The image was taken from my backyard in Scottsdale, Arizona.
