The Moon on June 3, 2007

This is an image of the moon taken a couple of days past full moon. The moon was 93.87% illuminated. The dark smooth area at the top center is Mare Nectaris. Mouse over this image and an annotated version of the image appears with various features identified and labeled.

This image was taken using a ToUCam webcam on a StarMaster 14.5-inch telescope. The image was taken from my backyard in Scottsdale, Arizona.
